Beneath its delicate production lies a subtle tension: the desire to help someone find themselves again while recognizing the instinct to carry burdens that are not entirely your own.
That balance reflects MUANH’s broader artistic journey. After years of being told to sing louder, conform to expectations or abandon music for a safer path, she chose to trust her instincts and develop her own sonic language. Her upcoming debut EP, hush, brings together the bedroom experimentation she began during the pandemic and collaborations with Hamburg’s local music scene.
Drawing on influences ranging from Enya and Madonna to Destiny’s Child and Vietnamese singer Ngọc Lan, MUANH creates music that feels both spacious and deeply personal.
Hamburg-based artist MUANH turns vulnerability into a quiet act of resistance on “baby please,” a dreamy soft-pop track that explores the weight of caring for someone struggling under pressure. Blending hazy guitars, understated electronics, ethereal vocal layers and an understated R&B pulse, the song creates an intimate atmosphere where tenderness and emotional exhaustion coexist.
